With grand vistas and awe-inspiring views, it's easy to understand why Yosemite is the perfect place to take your relationship to the next level. Even if you've never set foot in Yosemite before, I can help you find the perfect place to propose to your partner. Whether you want to propose on the top of a mountain after a rugged hike or relaxing in the midst of a meadow, Yosemite has plenty of options for you. And best of all, it's super easy to propose and have stunning photographs in Yosemite.
With a plan in motion, I will be ready and waiting for you at the location of your choice. I will photograph not only your proposal, but also include a short portrait session to capture the magic of the moment.
The Right Location
While there aren't many bad locations in Yosemite, I prefer locations that offer epic views without being overrun by tourists. Places like Glacier Point, Taft Point, and Tunnel View all have secluded spots nearby and can be excellent locations. Do you have any favorite or sentimental locations in Yosemite? Keep in mind, not all locations are easily accessible throughout all seasons.

Once we have a location in mind, we can talk about the best time of day for that location. Some locations simply look better at sunrise or at sunset. You'll also have to consider your travel plans as well. Keep in mind your plans for after the proposal too - are you looking to enjoy a dinner out at the Ahwahnee with your fiancé after you propose?

Common Questions
Where can I propose in the park?
You can propose at any location open to the public in the park. One wonderful thing about proposing in Yosemite that a photographer (ready to capture the moment) will not look out of place anywhere in the park. Do you and your partner already have a special place in Yosemite? Are you looking to find that perfect sunset view with no one else around? I can help!
Do we need a permit from Yosemite?
No permit is needed. The only thing you need is your partner by your side.
When will the photographs be ready?
Your photographs will be ready within six weeks of the date of your event. Additianlly, we will email you a handful of photographs within 24 hours so that you can share the joy! If you are in a unique situation where you need the photographs sooner than that (maybe you are planning a reception back home when you return from your elopement) just let us know and we will do our best to make it happen.
What is the cost?
Our proposal photography starts at $800 and includes planning assistance, one hour of photography and all edited photographs.
